Leading To Something

When I started this blog back in January, quite frankly, I wasn’t sure about the direction I wanted to take it. I had never blogged before. I knew the blog would be more than just about the commercial real estate financing business,  but in what direction that “more” would take me was beyond my immediate vision…

That is until my “Life” posting. Something told me that a certain philosophy would emerge and I would need to weave it into my category called the “Business of Life”. This category would be a reflection of Spiritual Laws that we embrace and ignore and make us wind up where we are on any given day, both individually and globally; and that includes The Recession.

I see from the news that many people are stumbling around in the bush. Particularly those that were with the wrong employer or no employer at all. As a self-employed businessman, I sought a path of personal and business expression that would make sense to my general readers, however large or small. I found many true paths within and without. One led to Pamela Slim and Escape From Cubicle Nation. This is my email to her a few days ago with slight editing:

“Although I am 63 years old and have been in the commercial real estate business for years, in my efforts to take my new company to a “better and different” plateau, I stumbled across your blog and the article of July 13, 2006 entitled 59 is the New 65. This was a terrific post and it led me to your Declaration of Independence. I was so impressed with the content that I joined your free Newsletter yesterday. I would like to know if I may include your video in my Business of Life category.”

She obviously responded favorably; so this video is for the enjoyment of those of us who are about the business of making 2009 the beginning of a New Era. Please right-click the video link and select Open in New Window.
